I asked myself multiple times how  much of a complex thinker  I am before writing this portion. So what is a complex thinker? The definition of a complex thinker is creative and critical thinking, problem solving, concept development, conflict resolution, moral and ethical reasoning and analysis. I asked myself once again if these words applied to me. Creative is the first word in the definition, any artist knows that you can't be an artist without creativity. One of the main reasons I love art is because it allows me to explore the things in my head and then create them on paper. In order to explore my own creativity I use critical thinking to understand where my creativity is genating from. It's an important process every artist, writer, or mathematician uses to be good at anything.

Problem solving is another key factor to be good at a subject, and it doesn't only apply to math problems. We as humans use problem solving a lot more than we realize. It's another important skill to learn while growing up, and without it, it'd be hard to achieve goals. Art helped me learn how to problem solve and how to use techniques to help me achieve my best work. It's amazing to watch your thoughts appear on paper, but it isn't always such an easy process. It takes lots of practice, patients, and hard work. Which I would consider to be my definition of problem solver.

The rest of the definition of complex thinker is just words with the same meaning, just more  fancy. Because of my age, and the level of maturity I've reached at this point in my life. I realize that without these skills I've absorbed in these last few years, it would have been hard to move forward. I had to mature earlier in life then some of my peers because of life events thrown at me. It forced me to learn these skills that are a part of me, which is why I struggled with understanding how these applied to me. I had to become capable of these skills if I was going to get through my life's hardest struggles. Although I don't believe I should have had to fight at such an early age, my struggle made me who I am today. It made it so these types of skills come easier to me, which isn't something all my peers could say.  If I was being honest though, for someone who hasn't left high school yet, I've already seen more of the real world then I was hoping for. Now, I know I am capable of surviving life's biggest obstacles, which prepared me to move on from high school and enter the real world.
